Meet Quire’s core team and contributors

Core Team

Quire is developed by Getty and the core team working on Quire is currently comprised of Getty staff members. Together, we are working toward a full open-source release by 2022. Feel free to contact us at quire@getty.edu.

  • Greg Albers (@geealbers), product manager Greg Albers is the Digital Publications Manager at Getty, where he oversees Quire, the production of Getty’s own Quire publications, and other digital publishing initiatives like the Virtual Library. He is a co-founder of the Museum Publishing Digital Interest Group, and a former Board Member of MCN. He speaks regularly on digital publishing, digital literacy, workplace culture and community building, and open-source software development.

  • David Newbury (@workergnome), product manager David Newbury is the Head of Software at Getty, where he works with cultural heritage professionals, researchers, scientists and technologists to find common solutions to technical and scholarly problems. He works with Greg on the long-term roadmap for the product, helping to align Quire with Getty’s digital strategy and to ensure a sustainable environment for the project.

  • Matthew Hrudka (@mphstudios), lead maintainer Matthew Hrudka is a Software Architect and team lead at Getty, where he guides code and architecture development work on new Quire features, the Getty UI component library, and the Getty.edu website. Matthew is an artist, design technologist, and software developer. He has designed user interfaces, information graphics, and web software for companies such as Dynamic Diagrams, Macromedia, Adobe Systems, and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

  • Erin Cecele Dunigan (@Erin-Cecele), community manager Erin Cecele Dunigan is the Quire Community Manager at Getty, where she cultivates a diverse community of Quire users and contributors. She works closely with the Project Manager and Getty developers to communicate user needs and develop helpful tools and resources to aid the community with Quire adoption. She has worked in art book publishing for over a decade, including positions at ARTBOOK | D.A.P. and Chronicle Books. She is a co-founder of the San Francisco Art Book Fair.
